TALENT is allocated in the BCI department driving high-quality research at the interfaces of chemistry, biology, chemical and biochemical engineering, as well as process engineering. Involved institutes have extensive expertise in sustainable (bio)chemical conversions, the design of high-performance reactors and separation units, as well as in high-fidelity modeling, process optimization and control. The consortium builds on years of experience in (jointly) developing and applying methods and engineering tools for analysis, modeling, and design of reaction systems from the molecular scale to technical implementation. This scale-bridging research environment is particularly beneficial for the envisioned research and qualification program of TALENT.
